Waxing
Ready to be smooth?
Waxing: This treatment involves applying wax to specific areas to remove unwanted hair, leaving you with a clean, uniform appearance. Waxing is a hair removal method that extracts hair from the roots. In some areas, hot "soft" wax is applied to the skin, followed by a strip of cloth or paper that is pressed onto the wax. The strip is then swiftly removed, pulling the hair out. In other areas, hot "hard" wax is applied directly to the skin and allowed to cool. Once cooled, the wax is quickly removed, taking the hair with it.
Contraindications: Although it is impossible to list every potential risk and complication, the following are recognized as known contraindications. Furthermore, it is your responsibility to fully and accurately disclose all medical history prior to initial treatment, as well as provide any medical updates at all future treatment sessions. Allergic Reaction: During the procedure, various products may be applied to the area, including jelly, soothing or restorative hydrogel, calming masks, and other chemical exfoliants that your esthetician deems best for your skin. There is a possibility of an allergic reaction to these products. Additionally, since this procedure enhances the penetration of topical substances, it may increase your sensitivity. If you experience any abnormal sensations during the treatment, please notify your esthetician immediately or contact our office. In rare cases, you may be advised to consult with your doctor.
Lack of results: I understand I may not experience complete clearance, and that it may take multiple treatments. It is important that your expectations be realistic and understand the procedure has its limitations. Additional procedures may be necessary to achieve desired effect.
Pain: You may experience slight burning, scratchiness, tingling or irritation of the skin. These sensations are usually temporary and typically subside within a few hours after treatment. A sudden reappearance of redness or pain is a sign of infection in rare cases, you may be advised to contact your doctor.
Redness/Swelling/Bruising/Scabbing:: After the procedure, your skin may be red, with mild swelling and/or bruising, and it might feel tight and sensitive to the touch. This is a normal part of the healing process. If you experience persistent redness or swelling, please contact our office. Itching is also normal as the skin begins to peel. To aid in healing and recovery, we recommend using Lux MD Medical Repair Cream, which can be purchased from Foreverbyash at the time of service for $40.
